Information technology is not only changing the content of our courses, it is also changing the way we teach. Teachers who are open to these new tools are finding themselves promoting much more cooperative learning. Plus, these same teachers are changing their methods of teaching, not because they have to change but because they want to change to make learning more interesting and exciting for themselves and their students. One strategy is messaging. Through messaging (E-mail, conferences, etc.), users can communicate within the school, the district, or world-wide, allowing teachers and students to share information and ideas and to collaborate with other people anywhere in the world.
