Creating Collaborative Computer-Based Learning Environments With The World Wide Web
This article describes a dynamic web-based system (Web-FAQ) to support student learning in an introductory authoring course. The Web-FAQ system has 4 main components: a questions and answers section, a frequently asked questions section, a section showing authoring tips and tricks, and a submit URLs section. It has been designed to enable students to share resources through the use of dynamic web pages either as novices trying to find the solutions to problems or as experts providing help and guidance to others in the class.

MOOs are state-of-the-art electronic conferences. Using a MOO you can perform a wide variety of tasks. This article provides the information about how a MOO works and what is needed to use one, including how to join a MOO and bring your students along too.

Computer Conferencing and Collaborative Writing Tools
This article explores the Collaborative Writing (CW) tools available for different levels of electronic interaction that might be indicators of high quality social interaction. CW tools reviewed here are categorized into five levels: electronic messaging, delayed collaboration tools, brainstorming tools, real-time collaborative writing tools, and collaborative hypermedia.
